Aphid Mix

Aphids are a very common pest for many plant species, but often more than one species of aphid can be expected or observed in a crop. In the bio-control industry, some common beneficials are Aphidius spp. (including Aphidius colemani, Aphidius matricariae and Aphidius ervi), and Aphidoletes aphidimyza. Different species target different aphids, so by having a mix you can target and/or protect against more than one aphid species, giving you optimal aphid control. The Aphid Mix comes in hanging tubes of 200, with a post-hatching feeding station to optimize egg laying.

Aphidius Colemani

Aphids are a very common pest for many plant species, one often times one species of aphid is more commonly observed in a specific crop. In the bio-control industry, one beneficial commonly used for smaller aphid species, like green peach aphid and cotton (a.k.a. melon) aphid, is Aphidius colemani. This biological can be used as a preventative in tubes of 250 and 500, or as spot treatment in bottle of 1000 and 5000. Aphidius colemani is also one of the species included in the Aphid Mix product.

Aphidius Ervi

Aphids are a very common pest for many plant species, one often times one species of aphid is more commonly observed in a specific crop. In the bio-control industry, one beneficial commonly used for larger aphid species, like potato aphid and foxglove aphid, is Aphidius ervi. This biological can be used as a preventative in tubes of 250 and 500, or as spot treatment in bottle of 1000 and 5000. Aphidius ervi is also one of the species included in the Aphid Mix product.

Aphidoletes

Aphids are a very common pest for many plant species. Their population can increase very quickly, and therefore than can easily become a big problem. Aphidoletes aphidimyza is a commonly used beneficial in the bio-control industry. It is good for aphid hotspots as their larval stages ingest aphids of all sizes and species. This product is available in packages of 1000 adults.

Aphelinus

Aphids are a very common pest for many plant species, one often times one species of aphid is more commonly observed in a specific crop. In the bio-control industry, one beneficial commonly used for larger aphid species, like potato aphid and foxglove aphid, is Aphelinus abdoninalis. This beneficial insect acts similarly to Aphidius ervi in that it parasitizes the aphids, but Aphelinus abdoninalis also eats aphids, giving it an additional benefit. This biological is available in tubes of 250, and is one of the species included in the Aphid Mix product.

Aphidius Matricariae

Aphids are a very common pest for many plant species, one often times one species of aphid is more commonly observed in a specific crop. In the bio-control industry, one beneficial commonly used for smaller aphid species, like green peach aphid and cotton (a.k.a. melon) aphid, is Aphidius matricariae. Although it can parasitize over 40 aphid species, it is best suited for the smaller aphids. This biological can be used as a preventative in tubes of 250, 300 (MAX product only) and 500, or as spot treatment in bottles of 1000 and 5000. Aphidius matricariae is also one of the species included in the Aphid Mix product.

Fallacis

Do you get spider mites regularly in your crop? If so, then spider mite prevention may be beneficial to you and your crop. Amblyseius fallacis is a predatory mite used in bio-control to prevent and/or slow the progression of spider mites in many plant species. It is added once flowers appear in the crop and can survive on pollen if no spider mite is present. Amblyseius fallacis is used in conjunction with Persimilis and the two species do not negatively interact. Fallacis is available loose in tubes of 10000 and 25000.

Brown Lacewing

Brown lacewings, also know as Micromus variegates, is a beneficial insect often used in the bio-control of aphid species. The adult and larval stages of the insect feed on a variety of aphid species. Brown lacewings have also been known to eat other pest insects, but prefer aphids and provide the best results when used in aphid control. They are available as adults in vials of 100.

Delphastus

Got a whitefly problem? Delphastus catalinae may be the bio-control solution for you!! In certain crop large infestations of whiteflies can be a big problem that is difficult to handle with only parasitic wasps, like Encarsia. Delphastus is a beetle than can clean whitefly spots quickly and efficiently. This beneficial is available in vials of 100 (Ultra) and 1000 (Ultra).

Nema-Defenders SF

Having trouble dealing with thrips? We can help you brake their life cycle using Nema-Defenders SF. This product contains the nematode species Steinernema feltiae, which target thrips pupae in the soil. It has also been known to assist in the control of fungus gnats. Nema-Defenders SF is available in packages of 50 million, 250 million and 500 million.

Nema-Defenders SC

Having trouble dealing with some weevil and borer species? We can help you brake their life cycle using Nema-Defenders SC. This product contains the nematode species Steinernema carpocapsae, which target the soil dwelling stages of black vine weevil, cranberry girdler, mole crickets and codling moth, to name a few. It has also been known to assist in the control of shore flies. Nema-Defenders SC is available in packages of 50 million, 250 million and 500 million.

Nema-Defenders HB

Having trouble with grubs? We can help you brake their life cycle using Nema-Defenders HB. This product contains the nematode species Heterorhabditis bacteriophora, which targets the grubs of the japanese beetle, oriental beetle and european chafer in the soil. Nema-Defenders HB is available in packages of 50 million, 250 million and 500 million.

Cucumeris

Thrips are a problem in many greenhouse crops, therefore preventing them should be part of your bio-control program. Amblyseius cucumeris is a predatory mite that can be added to your young crop to help with thrips prevention. This beneficial eats thrips larva and helps to keep thrips populations low. Cucumeris is available loose in bottles of 50000 and 50000(MAX) and as sachets with 200 per box.

Californicus

Spider mites are a problem for many greenhouse crops, and preventing them should be a part of your bio-control program. Amblyseius californicus is a predatory mite that can be added to your freshly planted crop to help with spider mite prevention. This beneficial is available loose in bottles of 25000, 25000 (Ultra), 10000 (Ultra) and 2000 (Ultra).

Degenerans

Thrips can be a major pest for many greenhouse crops, especially because they like to live inside flowers where pesticides cannot reach them. Amblyseius degenerans is a predatory mite that can be added to the crop to help control thrips throughout the year. This beneficial is often included in the bio-control program of sweet peppers and is available in vials of 500.

Feltiella

Do you have a bad history with spider mite? Feltiella ascarisuga is a beneficial whose larval stages feed on spider mite. The benefit of Feltiella is that the adult stages fly, meaning that they can detect spider mite faster, even if the spots are spread out. Feltiella can be used in bio-control programs of crops like tomato where predatory mites, like Persimilis, have trouble moving around. This beneficial is available in tubs of 250 adults.
